Chapter 7 - The Security Breach

Evan immediately called his head of security.
"I want guards at every entrance of the building," Evan ordered.
"Nobody gets past the lobby without my personal authorization," he commanded.
"Understood, Mr. Mercer," the security chief replied.
Evan paced the length of his home office.
He refused to let Sabrina terrorize his family.
He opened his laptop and accessed the building's external camera feeds.
He scanned the street level meticulously.
There was a black sedan parked illegally across the street.
The tinted windows made it impossible to see inside.
Evan zoomed in on the license plate.
He recognized the custom plates immediately.
It was Sabrina's father's car.
Evan stormed out of the office and headed for the elevator.
"Lock the doors and do not open them for anyone," Evan told Leah.
"Where are you going?" Leah asked frantically.
"To take out the trash," Evan replied coldly.
He rode the private elevator down to the ground floor.
He marched out of the lobby doors with fierce determination.
He walked straight across the busy street, ignoring the honking cars.
He reached the black sedan and slammed his fist on the hood.
"Roll down the window!" Evan shouted.
The dark glass slowly lowered.
Sabrina's father, Richard, was sitting in the driver's seat.
He had a smug, arrogant smirk on his face.
"Hello, Evan," Richard said calmly.
"If your daughter comes near my family again, I will destroy your company," Evan warned.

Richard chuckled darkly.
"You really think you can take on my empire over a maid?" Richard sneered.
