Elena Voss didn’t return to any office.
She walked instead into a private terminal beneath the city—quiet, sterile, untouched by public records.
Her assistant followed behind her carefully.
“Everything is stable. The board is aligned. Damian’s remaining assets are being absorbed as instructed.”
Elena nodded once.
“No celebration,” she said.
The assistant hesitated.
“Most founders would—”
“I am not most founders,” Elena interrupted.
She stopped at a glass wall overlooking rows of servers.
Inside them lived every transaction Damian had ever made.
Every transfer.
Every deal.
Every signature.
She had not destroyed his world.
She had simply reclaimed what had always been routed through her systems.
“You build empires,” she said quietly, almost to herself.
“And forget who supplies the foundation.”
Behind her, screens flickered.
