The woman who had first accused the maid slowly stepped forward.

Her voice trembled.

"I owe you an apology."

She handed the maid a neatly folded handkerchief.

"I judged you without evidence. I am deeply sorry."

One by one, the guests apologized as well.

The maid accepted their words politely, but the hurt remained visible in her eyes.

The older man addressed everyone.

"Respect isn't measured by wealth or status. It's measured by character. Tonight, many of us forgot that."

His words echoed through the ballroom.
