Six months later, the conference room looked the same.
But no one behaved the same.
No shouting. No fear disguised as authority. No silence used as protection.
Lena sat at the table now—not at the edge, not invisible, but at the center.
Reports came to her first.
Complaints were escalated directly.
And for the first time in years, they stayed on record.
One afternoon, a junior employee hesitated before speaking in a meeting. The room tensed, waiting for someone to interrupt her.
No one did.
Lena simply said, “Go on.”

Later, as the room emptied, the chairman appeared in the doorway again.
He didn’t enter this time.
He just watched.
“You’ve changed the culture,” he said.
Lena shook her head slightly. “No. I just stopped it from hiding.”
