Santiago didn’t move.

Behind him, two men in black suits entered silently, scanning every corner.
Santiago forced a laugh.
“This is a private residence.”
My father didn’t look at him.
He looked at me first.
Bruised.
On the floor.
Pregnant.
Something inside his expression shattered—but his voice stayed calm.
“You touched my daughter.”
Santiago scoffed.
“She’s my wife.”
That was the mistake.
My father finally turned his eyes to him.
“No,” he said quietly. “She was your warning.”
