The security room fell silent.
Every eye remained fixed on the frozen frame displayed across the monitor.
"Zoom in," the man ordered.
The technician enlarged the footage until every detail became unmistakably clear.
Emily was carefully making her way down the staircase, one hand resting protectively on her swollen belly.
Then—
A hand appeared behind her.
It belonged to Victoria.
Without hesitation, Victoria shoved Emily hard between the shoulder blades before instantly pulling her hand back and pretending to gasp in horror.
The room erupted.
"Play it again."
The footage rolled a second time.
Then a third.
There was no accident.
No misunderstanding.
No doubt.
The older man who had accused Emily lowered his head in disbelief.
"I... I was wrong."
Meanwhile, Victoria's confident smile vanished.
Her face turned pale as she slowly backed toward the door.
"This... this is edited," she stammered.
"No," the man watching the footage replied coldly.
"It came directly from the house security system."
