Chapter 5 – Justice Arrives Quietly

Six months later...

Sunlight poured through the hospital window.

Elena gently cradled her newborn daughter.

Healthy.

Safe.

Perfect.

Detective Ruiz stopped by before heading to court.

"They both accepted plea agreements," he said.

"They'll spend many years behind bars."

Elena smiled softly.

"I wasn't looking for revenge."

Ruiz nodded.

"I know."

"You wanted the truth."

Outside the courtroom, reporters shouted questions.

Inside, there was only peace.

The caretaker, who had blamed Elena that terrible day, quietly apologized.

"I judged you too quickly."

Elena smiled.

"We all make mistakes. What matters is what we do after we realize them."

As she carried her daughter toward the sunlight, she understood something she would never forget.

Real strength isn't measured by how hard someone can fight.

Sometimes, the strongest person in the room is the one patient enough to let the truth reveal itself.
