Chapter 1: The Footage
The hallway outside the hospital suite erupted into chaos.
Doctors rushed toward Khloe while security officers restrained Isabella before she could leave. Marcus dropped to his knees beside his wife, his hands trembling as he held hers.
"Stay with me," he pleaded. "Please... stay with me."
Khloe tried to answer, but another wave of pain stole her breath.
At that moment, Richard Bennett, the hospital's Director of Security, hurried into the suite carrying a tablet.
"There are cameras covering every entrance and the entire sitting area," he said. "We've already secured the recordings."
Isabella's expression changed for the first time.
"You don't need to watch anything," she said quickly. "She attacked me first."
Richard looked at her without emotion.
"The cameras don't lie."
Minutes later, Marcus watched the footage.
The video showed Khloe asking Isabella to leave. It showed Isabella shoving the pregnant woman into the marble table. Most horrifying of all, it clearly captured Isabella lifting her foot and deliberately striking Khloe's side.
The room fell silent.
Marcus slowly lowered the tablet.
"I believed you," he whispered to Isabella.
She said nothing.

Only the sound of approaching police officers broke the silence.
