Chapter 6: Home at Last

Chapter 6: Home at Last

One year later, Sarah lived in a small white house overlooking a quiet lake.

It wasn't a mansion.

It wasn't filled with expensive art or marble floors.

But it was filled with laughter.

Grace had learned to walk.

Arthur, who had become one of Sarah's closest friends, visited often and eventually became part of their family.

Mrs. Hargrove retired and spent weekends baking cookies for Grace, saying she finally felt she worked for the right people.

One afternoon, Sarah found the tiny shredded pieces of the old ultrasound preserved inside a frame Arthur had quietly restored as best he could.

Beneath it was a simple inscription:

"Some people try to erase a future. Others fight to protect it."

Sarah smiled, picked up Grace, and stepped outside into the warm afternoon sun.

The past no longer defined them.

They had survived.

They had found justice.

And at last, they had found peace.

The End.
