Chapter 3: A New Beginning

Six months later.

The company had become stronger than ever.

Employee salaries increased.

Scholarship programs expanded.

Every department that Ethan had neglected was rebuilt.

The mansion no longer felt like a battlefield.

It finally felt like home.

One afternoon, the Assistant placed a small envelope on the CEO's desk.

"It's from Mr. Carter."

She opened it.

Inside was a single handwritten sentence.

"I spent years trying to own your world. I never realized you were the one holding mine together."

She folded the letter without another thought.

Some apologies arrive too late.

She walked to the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city she had fought so hard to protect.

The sun slowly disappeared beneath the skyline.

Her Assistant smiled.

"What would you like to do next, Boss?"

She smiled for the first time in a very long time.

"Build something no one can ever steal again."

She turned toward the boardroom as hundreds of employees stood waiting for her leadership.

This time, she wasn't fighting to prove her worth.
