Silence swallowed the room.
No one moved.
The Assistant's words echoed through the mansion like a verdict.
"You now hold one hundred percent of the shares."
The smug smile disappeared from Ethan's face.
"What... did you say?"
The Assistant calmly handed a leather folder to the CEO.
"Every transfer was completed thirty minutes ago. The emergency board meeting removed Mr. Carter as acting chairman."
Ethan ripped the documents from his hands.
Page after page.
Board resolutions.
Stock transfers.
Bank confirmations.
Every signature was authentic.
His hands began to shake.
"This isn't possible."
"It is," the CEO replied quietly.
She stood from the gold-trimmed chair, wiped the last trace of blood from her lip, and looked directly into his eyes.
"You spent years believing you built this empire."
She took one slow step forward.
"But every major investor answered to me."
The security guards who had once stood behind Ethan suddenly walked toward the CEO.
Their leader lowered his head respectfully.
"Ma'am."
Ethan stared in disbelief.
"You work for me!"
The guard answered without hesitation.
