While lemon and honey are both nutritious foods, the idea that they can dramatically detox your liver is not supported by strong scientific evidence.   First, it’s important to understand how the liver works. The liver is your body’s natural detox powerhouse. It constantly filters your blood, breaks down harmful substances, processes medications, and helps remove waste through bile and urine. In healthy individuals, the liver already does an excellent job without the need for special detox drinks.   Lemons are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. These nutrients support the immune system and help protect cells from oxidative stress.
