Chapter 3: The Secret Investigation

Chapter 3: The Secret Investigation
The private vault door slowly opened.
Inside were breathtaking diamonds, emerald necklaces, royal sapphires, and historical jewelry worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
But Eleanor ignored every jewel.
Instead, she walked to a small wooden cabinet hidden in the corner.
She unlocked it with the tiny gold key.
Inside were dozens of files.
Employee reports.
Customer complaints.
Internal audits.
Anonymous letters.
Every document pointed toward the same problem.
Corruption.
Olivia had been manipulating promotions, intimidating employees, and secretly replacing authentic gemstones with lower-quality stones while charging full price.
Eleanor quietly handed the files to the attorney.
"Everything has been documented."
Olivia collapsed into a chair.
"You've been investigating me?"
"For three years," Eleanor answered calmly.
"I didn't need cameras."
She looked toward Ethan.
"I needed someone honest enough to reveal everyone else's character."
Police officers stepped forward.
Olivia was arrested inside the showroom she once ruled with fear.
As she was led away, she looked at Ethan with hatred.
"You ruined everything."
Ethan simply replied,
May you like
"No."
"You ruined it yourself."
