Every morning, he walked Noah to school himself.

"You're leaving?"

She accepted—not for the salary, but for the children who needed someone to believe them.
One spring afternoon, the three of them stood in the foundation's new garden as children laughed around them.
Noah looked up at his father.
"Daddy?"
"Yes?"
"We're okay now."
Logan smiled, kneeling beside him.
"No, buddy."
He gently wrapped an arm around Noah while Marina smiled nearby.
"We're finally home."
