Natalie is admitted to the hospital with chemical burns on her hands, dehydration, and dangerously high blood pressure caused by stress. Doctors warn Luke that another day under that abuse could have triggered premature labor.
Meanwhile, detectives inspect the house. They discover security cameras that Eleanor secretly installed throughout the home, including one aimed directly at the laundry room. The recordings reveal weeks of emotional abuse: Eleanor ordering Natalie to clean for hours, insulting her, controlling what she ate, and threatening to convince Luke she was mentally unstable if she ever complained.
Luke is devastated as he watches footage proving his wife suffered in silence to protect his relationship with his mother.
When Eleanor is formally charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault, and elder domestic abuse, she refuses responsibility.
Instead, she blames Natalie.
