Husband:

The Chairman slides a folder across the table.
Inside are decades-old legal documents.
The original ownership.
Every signature.
Every transfer.
The empire had belonged to her family all along.
She had never needed his permission.
Only his loyalty.
He had mistaken kindness for weakness.
The Chairman speaks calmly.
Chairman:
"Mrs. Carter has always been our majority owner."
Silence fills the room.
The Husband realizes he was never the king.
He was merely allowed to wear the crown.
The Wife meets his eyes.
