Chapter 1: The Fall

Chapter 1: The Fall
No one moved.
The words hung in the air like a death sentence.
"Cut his funding."
The executive standing beside her simply nodded once.
"Already done."
The man in the tailored suit blinked.
"What?"
He reached for his phone, forcing out a laugh.
"Nice bluff."
The smile disappeared the moment the screen lit up.
One notification.
Then another.
Then twenty more.
Corporate Account Suspended.
Investor Partnership Terminated.
Credit Line Frozen.
His hands began to shake.
"No... no, this isn't possible."
"It is," the executive replied calmly. "Every company you built was financed through Voss Holdings."
The woman in the crimson dress frowned.
"That's impossible. He owns sixty percent."
The executive opened his briefcase and placed a thick stack of documents on the marble coffee table.
"He believed he did."
Silence.
"He never read the contracts."
The woman slowly stood from the couch.
For years she had hidden behind ordinary clothes, quiet smiles, and deliberate silence.
Now every movement radiated authority.
"My father left me one lesson," she said evenly.
"Never interrupt someone while they're exposing themselves."
She looked directly at her ex.
"You spent five years proving exactly who you are."
His knees nearly buckled.
"You... you planned this?"
"No."
She tilted her head.
"You did."
He suddenly realized the horrifying truth.
Every insult.
Every affair.
Every forged expense report.
Every stolen dollar.
She had documented all of it.
May you like
She hadn't been trapped.
She had been collecting evidence.
