CHAPTER 1: THE SECRET HIDDEN IN THE SAFE

The billionaire, Richard Harrington, couldn't take his eyes off the burned mechanic's wrench.

His hands trembled.

For twenty years, he had believed one version of the story.

That a drunk mechanic had caused the accident that nearly killed him.

That his own family had protected him afterward.

But now...

Nothing made sense anymore.

He slowly looked at the flower boy.

“What was your father's name?”

“Daniel Carter.”

The entire room gasped.

Richard's face turned pale.

Because he remembered that name.

Daniel Carter.

The man who had saved his life.

The man who later disappeared from public records.

Richard immediately ordered his head of security.

“Bring every file from my private safe. Tonight.”

Thirty minutes later, boxes filled with old documents were placed on a table in the ballroom.

Everyone watched in silence.

Richard opened a sealed envelope that had never been touched.

Inside was an insurance report.

Then another document.

Then another.

His eyes widened.

Every signature had been forged.

Every statement had been altered.

And one name appeared repeatedly.

His own brother.

Edward Harrington.

The billionaire's son stepped backward in disbelief.

“No…”

Richard whispered.

“He framed an innocent man…”

Then security opened one final folder.

Inside was a security photograph from the night of the crash.

The image was blurry.

But clear enough.

Edward Harrington was standing beside the wrecked car.

And his hand was on the door lock.

Before he walked away.

The ballroom erupted into chaos.

Because the truth was no longer a rumor.

May you like

It was evidence.

And the man responsible was part of the family.
