After dinner, the billionaire invited the sisters into his private library.
"Where are your parents?" he asked gently.
Emily reached into her torn coat and unfolded an old photograph.
"Our mom died last year."
"Our dad disappeared before Lily could remember him."
"We've been sleeping in abandoned buildings ever since."
The room became painfully quiet.
Then Emily handed him something else.
A silver pendant.
The billionaire froze.
His hands began to shake.

The billionaire opened the pendant.

His own initials.
