Chapter 3: Justice Begins at Home
The next morning, Victoria walked confidently into the dining room expecting another ordinary day.
Instead, she found Daniel waiting.
Their family attorney sat beside him.
So did two police detectives.
Victoria froze.
"What is all this?"
Daniel calmly slid a tablet across the table.
"Watch."
The security footage played.
One clip.
Then another.
Then another.
Victoria's confident expression slowly disappeared.
She whispered,
"You recorded me?"
Daniel answered quietly.
"No."
"You exposed yourself."
The attorney placed divorce papers in front of her.
The detectives followed with documents detailing child abuse allegations.
Victoria suddenly burst into tears.
"I was under stress! I never meant to hurt her!"
Daniel remained emotionless.
"You had hundreds of chances to stop."
She reached for his hand.
He stepped back.
"The woman I married never existed."
Minutes later, the detectives escorted Victoria out of the mansion.
Emily watched from upstairs.
