Chapter 4: A Different Kind of Family

Chapter 4: A Different Kind of Family

One year later.

The West mansion no longer felt empty.

Laughter echoed through its halls.

Flowers filled the garden.

Sophie's drawings covered the refrigerator.

And tonight…

The ballroom was full once again.

But this time, it wasn't an engagement party.

It was a wedding.

Anna stood in a simple ivory dress.

No diamonds.

No extravagant jewelry.

Just a woman who had loved a little girl when nobody was watching.

Julian stood beside her.

His eyes filled with gratitude.

Sophie walked between them, smiling brighter than anyone else in the room.

When the officiant asked if anyone wanted to say a few words, Sophie immediately raised her hand.

The guests laughed softly.

She stepped forward.

"I used to think families were people you were born with."

She looked at Anna.

"But now I know…"

She smiled.

"Family is the person who stays."

Many guests wiped away tears.

Anna knelt and opened her arms.

Sophie ran into them instantly.

Then Julian wrapped his arms around both of them.

At that moment…

Nobody saw a billionaire.

Nobody saw a former waitress.

Nobody saw social status.

They simply saw a family.

A real one.

And above the grand piano inside the mansion sat a framed photograph of Eleanor.

Underneath it was a small engraved message:

Love never leaves. Sometimes, it simply arrives wearing a different face.
