Chapter 1: The Quiet Phone Call

The dealership was still laughing when the doors closed behind the elderly woman.

Inside, the manager exhaled like he had just cleaned up a mess.

“People waste our time every day,” he muttered, returning to his desk.

But one of the sales assistants—young, nervous—noticed something strange.

The woman hadn’t looked angry.

She hadn’t looked embarrassed either.

Just… calm. Too calm.

An hour later, the manager’s phone rang.

He didn’t recognize the number.

He answered without looking.

“Yes?”

A pause.

Then a voice from the other side—professional, controlled, cold.

“This is the legal office representing the Harrison Automotive Group.”

The manager’s pen stopped moving.

“…I’m sorry, what group?”

A second pause.

Then the voice continued:

“You will receive formal documentation shortly. Until then, I suggest you review your conduct toward today’s visitor.”

The manager chuckled nervously.

“What visitor?”

A longer silence this time.

Then:

May you like

“The owner’s mother.”

The line went dead.
