Chapter 4: The Reading of the Will

That evening, the family gathered in the estate library.
Mr. Harrison unfolded William Carter's original will.
"My son Daniel shall inherit nothing if he attempts to manipulate my funeral, conceal my body, or interfere with the reading of this document."
Daniel's hands began to shake.
"No..."
Mr. Harrison continued.
"The Carter Foundation shall receive half of the estate."
"The remaining half shall be placed in trust for my grandchildren."
He smiled gently at Noah.
"And to the boy who had the courage to protect my final wishes..."
He handed Noah a handwritten envelope.
Inside was a short letter.
