Nathaniel didn't tell anyone what Lily had said.

He hired a child psychologist to speak with Lily in a relaxed environment without mentioning the accident.
Instead of asking about the stairs, the psychologist simply asked Lily to draw what she remembered from yesterday.
She drew the staircase.

The psychologist looked at Nathaniel.
"I don't think she's inventing this."
Meanwhile, Vivien sensed the atmosphere changing.
Nathaniel had become distant.
He cancelled their wedding cake tasting.

She knew suspicion had begun.
So she made the first move.
She secretly visited Margaret's hospital room while Nathaniel attended a board meeting.
Leaning close to the older woman, she smiled.
"No one believes old women over beautiful young fiancées."
Margaret stared back.
"You underestimate my son."
Vivien's smile disappeared.
Then she quietly unplugged Margaret's pain medication pump before leaving.
Fortunately, a nurse returned only minutes later.
