Part 3

Daniel returned to the kitchen.

Emily was standing exactly where he had left her, wiping tears from her face.

"I'm sorry," he whispered.

She looked surprised.

"For what?"

"For not seeing it sooner."

He wrapped his arms around her with incredible care, mindful of the baby growing between them.

"I promised to protect you."

"You still can," she replied softly.

The next morning, Daniel hired full-time household help and made one thing perfectly clear to both families:

Emily would never again be expected to serve anyone except herself and their child.

Months later, they welcomed a healthy baby girl.

At the hospital, Daniel watched Emily cradle their daughter and smiled through tears.

"Our little girl," he whispered, "will grow up knowing exactly what respect looks like."

Emily smiled back.

Because real love isn't measured by grand speeches or expensive gifts.

It's measured by who stands beside you when everyone else expects you to stand alone.

May you like

And from that day forward, Emily never washed another dish out of obligation—only when she wanted to, in a home where she was finally treated not as a servant, but as the heart of the family.

The End.
