The front doors unlock automatically.
Not for Carmela.
For the people waiting outside.
Two attorneys, accompanied by investigators and a court officer, enter the mansion carrying legal documents.
One investigator approaches Carmela.
"Mrs. Carmela, we've been authorized to recover evidence related to financial fraud and property interference."
She looks helplessly toward her son.
"Tell them this is a mistake."
Tears fill his eyes.
"For years, I believed everyone else was the problem."
He pauses.
"The truth was standing beside me."
Carmela reaches for him.
He quietly steps back.
Svetlana watches in silence.
There is no smile.
No celebration.
Only relief.
As investigators escort Carmela toward the waiting vehicles, the first rays of sunrise spill across the marble floor.
The husband turns to Svetlana.
"I'm sorry."
She looks at him for a long moment before answering.
"An apology doesn't rebuild trust."
"It only acknowledges that it was broken."
The camera slowly pulls away from the mansion.
A final title card appears across the screen:
