CHAPTER 2 — THE MAN WHO LOST EVERYTHING

CHAPTER 2 — THE MAN WHO LOST EVERYTHING
The next morning, Daniel stormed into headquarters expecting another ordinary workday.
Instead...
Every security gate turned red.
ACCESS DENIED.
"What is this?" he shouted.
The head of security stepped forward.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Harrison."
"Sorry?"
"You're no longer authorized to enter the building."
Daniel laughed.
"This is my company."
The lobby fell silent.
At that exact moment, the elevator doors opened.
Emma stepped out wearing a perfectly tailored ivory suit.
The bruises on her face were still visible.
She made no attempt to hide them.
Every executive immediately stood.
"Good morning, Chairwoman."
Daniel froze.
"...Chairwoman?"
Emma slowly walked toward him.
"You accused me of stealing a necklace."
She stopped inches away.
"You had your family humiliate me."
She looked directly into his eyes.
"And then you threw me out of my own house."
Daniel's face turned pale.
"No... this can't be..."
Emma handed him a folder.
Inside was every document proving she owned fifty-one percent of Harrison Investments.
His signature appeared on every page.
"You signed them yourself."
His knees nearly gave out.
Then another executive cleared his throat.
"The board has unanimously voted to remove Daniel Harrison as CEO, effective immediately."
Security stepped beside him.
This time...
They were escorting him out.
As the revolving doors closed behind him, reporters surrounded the sidewalk.
The headlines were already breaking.
