Chapter 7: Margaret Faces Reality

Margaret spent years mocking Mariana.
Now creditors were calling.
Social circles stopped inviting her.
Friends stopped answering messages.
At last, she requested a meeting with Mariana.
When they met, Margaret looked older.
Smaller.
Almost broken.
"I was wrong," she whispered.
Mariana listened quietly.
"But you weren't wrong once."
