PART 6 – THE ENDING (American English)

PART 6 – THE ENDING (American English)

One year later.

Mexico City looked the same from above.

But my life wasn’t.

The Rivas name no longer controlled anything.

My father had rebuilt the legal structure under my son’s trust.

Beatriz was gone—charged, extradited, and erased from every social circle she once ruled.

Santiago signed the final separation papers from a private facility overseas.

He never fought it.

Not once.

Because power only exists until someone shows you it never belonged to you.

I stood by the window of my new home, holding my son.

He was sleeping peacefully.

“Do you remember any of it?” my father asked quietly.

I shook my head.

“No,” I said. “But I remember enough.”

Enough to never confuse love with control again.

Enough to never mistake silence for safety.

Enough to know exactly what I survived.

My father placed a hand on my shoulder.

“You’re free now,” he said.

I looked down at my son.

Then at the city that once trapped me.

And I finally believed it.

“Yes,” I whispered. “I am.”

Outside, the world kept moving.

Inside, I was no longer running.

May you like

I was finally living.

The end.
