Iran Claims It Has Enough Uranium for 11 Nuclear Weapons: Report

Growing concerns about Iran’s nuclear ambitions have resurfaced after reports revealed that Iranian officials claimed their country possesses enough enriched uranium to produce up to 11 nuclear weapons.

The statement, reportedly made during diplomatic discussions with U.S. representatives, has intensified global debates over nuclear security and the future of negotiations surrounding Iran’s nuclear program.

According to comments by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, Iranian negotiators said they controlled roughly 460 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60% purity—a level that is just a short technical step away from the 90% enrichment typically required for nuclear weapons.
