The mansion remained illuminated throughout the night.
Lawyers, accountants, and investigators moved room by room, documenting every painting, vehicle, and piece of jewelry.
At 5:47 a.m., the front gates opened again.
This time, several police vehicles arrived alongside moving trucks.
The former occupants stood in the foyer surrounded by packed suitcases.
The woman in the sparkling dress glared at Victoria.
"You planned this from the beginning."
Victoria nodded.
"I planned to uncover the truth. What happened afterward was simply the consequence of your choices."
The lead investigator approached.
"Ms. Dixon, every document has been verified. Ownership has officially been restored."
The man who had stolen the estate looked around the mansion one last time.
His confidence had disappeared.
"I can explain..."
Victoria shook her head.
"You've had eighteen months to explain. Today, the facts speak louder than excuses."
