Chapter 2: The Truth Behind the Mansion
The silence that followed her ultimatum was deafening.
The woman in the sparkling dress forced a laugh, folding her arms as if nothing had changed.
"You can't be serious," she scoffed. "This house belongs to us."
The pregnant woman—Victoria Dixon—slowly accepted the folder from the lead attorney without taking her eyes off the couple standing on the mansion steps.
"It belonged to my family long before either of you ever walked through those doors," Victoria said calmly.
The attorney opened another file.
"Ladies and gentlemen," he announced, "our investigation confirms that the property, company shares, and every financial account associated with the Dixon Estate were transferred illegally using forged authorizations eighteen months ago."
The man in the dark suit took a step forward.
"That's impossible."
"It isn't," the attorney replied. "We have bank records, surveillance footage, notarized statements, and sworn testimony."
The legal team began distributing copies of the evidence.
One by one, the security guards lowered their heads.
Several household employees quietly walked away from the couple and stood behind Victoria instead.
The sparkling-dress woman suddenly realized the servants were no longer taking orders from her.
"You're all making a terrible mistake!" she shouted.
Victoria rested a protective hand on her pregnant belly.
"No," she answered softly. "The mistake was believing I'd never come back."
Without raising her voice, she added one final sentence.

"You have until sunrise to leave my family's home voluntarily."
No one doubted she meant every word.
