Chapter 2: The Lockdown

Chapter 2: The Lockdown
The sound of steel echoed through the ballroom like a gunshot.
BOOM.
The towering oak doors sealed shut, hidden titanium bolts sliding deep into reinforced concrete. Crystal chandeliers trembled overhead as the elegant music died mid-note.
For one frozen second, nobody moved.
Then panic erupted.
"What just happened?"
"Open the doors!"
"We're locked in!"
Hundreds of guests rushed toward the exits, expensive gowns dragging across polished marble as security guards struggled to push through the terrified crowd.
The groom remained strangely calm.
He turned toward the bride with the same arrogant smile that had followed him throughout the evening.
"So this is your big plan?"
His voice dripped with amusement.
"Still waiting for someone to rescue you?"
She slowly slipped her phone back into her clutch.
Her expression never changed.
"No."
She stepped closer until only he could hear her.
"I'm waiting for someone to arrest you."
His smile disappeared.
"What?"
At that exact moment every television screen inside the ballroom flickered.
The wedding slideshow vanished.
Instead...
Surveillance footage appeared.
Different warehouses.
Different dates.
Illegal shipments.
Bribes.
Politicians.
Judges.
Executives.
Every crime his family's empire had buried over the last fifteen years unfolded in perfect silence before hundreds of horrified witnesses.
The guests stopped running.
Nobody spoke.
The groom stared at the screens, his face turning pale.
"Who did this?"
The bride looked into his eyes.
"I did."
Outside, dozens of black armored vehicles rolled silently onto the estate.
Their headlights remained off.
No sirens.
May you like
No warning.
Only precision.
