Rafael’s eyes locked instantly on the bed.

“Clara,” he said coldly.
The room tightened.
Isabela stepped between them.
“You have no right to be here.”
Rafael didn’t even look at her.
“I have every right. That boy is mine.”
Gabriel’s voice cracked.
“You don’t even know me.”

And for the first time, something broke in his expression.

But the mother shook her head violently.
“No. You don’t get to take him now.”
Rafael stepped forward.
“I built everything he will inherit.”
Isabela’s voice cut like steel.
“You built nothing but fear.”
The silence that followed was absolute.
