CHAPTER 2: VICTORIA'S SECRET COLLAPSES

Alexander canceled the wedding immediately.

Guests remained inside the mansion as lawyers, security officers, and family members gathered.

Victoria tried to maintain control.

"This woman is lying."

Eleanor quietly removed her glove.

A diamond wedding ring sat on her finger.

Alexander's eyes widened.

It was the ring he had placed there ten years ago.

The one investigators claimed was lost at sea.

Victoria's confidence began to crumble.

Alexander escorted Eleanor into his private office.

"Tell me everything."

Eleanor took a deep breath.

"The yacht explosion wasn't an accident."

Alexander felt ice run through his veins.

"I survived. But I suffered memory loss."

She continued.

"A private clinic treated me under a false identity."

"When my memory returned, I came home."

Alexander frowned.

"Then why didn't you come to me?"

Tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Because Victoria got there first."

She revealed everything.

Victoria controlled access to the mansion.

She bribed employees.

She told everyone Eleanor was an unstable woman pretending to be Alexander's late wife.

Then she forced Eleanor to work as a housekeeper.

Her plan was simple.

Humiliate her.

Keep her hidden.

Marry Alexander.

Take control of the Beaumont fortune.

Alexander sat frozen.

For a year, his own wife had lived under his roof while he never noticed.

Lily had been the only one who recognized her.

Victoria suddenly burst into the office.

"She's manipulating you!"

Alexander stood.

"No."

His voice was cold now.

"You manipulated all of us."

Security guards entered immediately.

Victoria panicked.

"You can't do this!"

Alexander looked directly into her eyes.

"I trusted you with my family."

She screamed.

"I did everything because I loved you!"

Alexander answered quietly.

"Love doesn't erase someone else's existence."

Victoria was escorted away.

Outside the office, hundreds of guests watched her leave in humiliation.

Her empire collapsed in less than ten minutes.

But Alexander wasn't celebrating.

He was grieving.

Because he realized the biggest failure wasn't Victoria.

It was himself.

He had stopped looking closely at the people he loved.

And his daughter had seen what he could not.
