Chapter 1: The Breaking Point

The garden is no longer peaceful—it feels sealed inside its own moment of chaos. The sound of rushing water fills every pause between breaths.

The blonde woman in the emerald gown stands firm, her posture unshaken despite the man in the blue suit moving closer. His voice is sharp now, urgent, no longer just confused.

“Are you out of your mind? Stop this immediately!”

The hose trembles slightly in her hand—but she doesn’t lower it.

Behind the spray, the elderly woman in the light blue nightgown stumbles back, coughing and shaking, while the younger maid grips her tighter, trying to shield her body with her own. Both are drenched, disoriented, struggling just to stay upright.

The man steps forward again, raising his hand as if to physically block the situation. “Enough!”

Only then does the woman in green finally ease her grip.

The water stops.

The sudden silence is heavier than the chaos before it.

Drips fall from leaves, from fabric, from hair—like the garden itself is still recovering.

She tilts her head slightly, breathing steady, eyes locked on him. No apology. No regret. Only control.

“You don’t understand what’s going on here,” she says coldly.

“I understand enough,” he fires back. “You’re attacking people in my house.”

A flicker of something sharp crosses her face—but she says nothing more.

Not yet.
