CHAPTER 2: THE FALL OF THE TYRANT

The next morning, every employee gathered inside the mansion's grand hall.

Gregory arrived wearing his expensive suit and fake confidence.

He still believed he could talk his way out.

After all, he'd controlled the mansion for years.

Then the giant screen behind Adrian came to life.

Video after video played.

Gregory screaming at employees.

Gregory throwing away Emily's meals.

Gregory forcing her to work eighteen-hour shifts.

Gregory stealing portions of workers' salaries.

The room erupted in gasps.

Some maids started crying.

Others looked down in shame for staying silent.

Adrian never took his eyes off Gregory.

"Anything you'd like to say?"

Gregory stuttered.

"Sir… there must be some misunderstanding…"

Adrian stepped closer.

"No misunderstanding."

He held up a folder.

"Financial fraud."

Another folder.

"Employee abuse."

Another folder.

"Violation of labor laws."

Gregory's legs nearly gave out.

Then Adrian said the words nobody expected.

"You are fired."

Two security guards approached.

But Adrian wasn't finished.

"And by tomorrow morning, every authority in this city will receive this evidence."

Gregory panicked.

"You can't do this to me!"

Adrian's voice became ice.

"No."

He pointed toward Emily.

"You did this to yourself."

The same man who had once starved a helpless maid was now being escorted through the front gates carrying a cardboard box.

Humiliated.

Defeated.

Alone.

The mansion staff watched quietly.

Because karma had finally arrived.
