The man laughed.
At first.
Then the laughter slowly faded as one by one, handcuffs clicked around the wrists of his associates.
"This evidence is fake," he shouted.
"No jury will believe any of it."
The woman folded her arms.
"They won't have to."
She pointed toward the ceiling.
"Everything you've said tonight has been livestreamed to a secure federal archive."
His face turned pale.
"You recorded me?"
"You recorded yourself."
She reminded him that his own surveillance system captured every room inside the mansion.
Months earlier, she had quietly gained legal access after discovering the company had been used to launder millions of dollars through fake charities and shell corporations.
Every threat.
Every confession.
Every order.
Everything belonged to the government now.
Outside, sirens echoed across the estate.
Armored vehicles surrounded the property.
Helicopters circled overhead.
The guests finally realized there was nowhere left to run.
The man looked directly at her.
"You planned this from the beginning."
She nodded.
"The night you murdered my brother, I promised myself I'd make sure you never hurt another family."
For the first time in years, fear replaced arrogance.
