Daniel's face drained of color.
"No..." he whispered, taking a shaky step toward her. "You can't be serious."
Victoria didn't answer immediately. She simply slid her phone back into her purse and looked at him with the same calm expression she'd worn ever since he ripped the keys from her hand.
"I begged you to read every page before signing," she said quietly.
His attorney's eyes widened.
"Daniel..." the man muttered, already reaching for his briefcase. "The trust agreement."
Daniel snatched the folder from him, flipping through the documents with trembling hands.
Four years ago.
His signature.
Every page.
Every initial.
His vision blurred as one sentence seemed to leap from the paper.
Upon completion of the investment restructuring, all marital assets shall remain under the ownership of Victoria Hayes Holdings.
"No..." he repeated. "That was just tax paperwork."
Victoria gave a faint smile.
"You never asked."
The sound of several luxury SUVs pulling into the driveway echoed through the mansion.
Black-suited professionals stepped out, followed by financial auditors, property managers, and corporate security.
The lead attorney approached Victoria first.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Hayes."
She nodded.
"Please begin."
Daniel stared helplessly as the legal team entered the mansion carrying folders stamped with court seals.
