Daniel arrived at the Almeida estate carrying flowers and fake tears.
"I made mistakes," he said.
"I want my family back."
Lucas immediately stepped in front of Sofia.
"You left when she couldn't even buy medicine."
Daniel ignored the boy.
He looked only at Victoria.
"I deserve another chance."
Victoria smiled.
But it wasn't a kind smile.
She placed several documents on the table.
Private investigators had uncovered everything.
Daniel hadn't simply abandoned Sofia.
He had forged her signature...
Sold her belongings...
Taken out loans in her name...
And secretly tried to locate the Almeida family after hearing rumors that Sofia might still be alive.
"You never wanted your family," Victoria said calmly.
"You wanted their fortune."
Police officers entered the room.
Daniel's smile disappeared.
He was arrested on charges of fraud, identity theft, and financial crimes.
As officers led him away, he shouted,
"You'll regret this!"
