Chapter 7 - The Viral Backfire

Olivia’s post was titled "The Ultimate Betrayal on My Special Day."

She went on and on about how she had tried to include her "troubled" sister.

She claimed I showed up in an inappropriate dress just to upstage her.

She accused me of lying about a fake job just to hurt my father's feelings.

She even claimed I refused to help the family when they were facing a sudden medical emergency.

A medical emergency.

She was actually trying to rebrand her wedding debt as a life-or-death crisis.

The comments underneath the post were flooded with sympathy from her equally shallow friends.

But as I scrolled down, I saw Cousin Greg’s comment.

Greg hadn't just tagged me.

He had uploaded a video clip.

"Funny how you forgot this part of the reception, Liv," Greg wrote.

I clicked play on the video.

It was high-quality footage from someone sitting near the front.

The video clearly showed Chloe, the drunk maid of honor, slurring insults into the microphone.

Then the camera panned to me.

It captured the moment I stood up, perfectly poised and dripping in diamonds.

It recorded my exact words.

"To Olivia. May her marriage be as authentic as her personality."

The video captured the dead silence in the room.

It captured Olivia turning bright red.

Most importantly, it captured me confidently walking out like an absolute boss.

I refreshed the page.

The video already had four hundred views.

Ten minutes later, it had four thousand.

People love wedding drama, and Olivia had just publicly served them a masterpiece.

Strangers were sharing the video, mocking the drunk bridesmaid and cheering for my exit.

The narrative flipped instantly.

Olivia’s comments section turned into a war zone.

People were calling her out for trying to humiliate her own sister.

My phone rang again.

It was my mother.
