Detectives arrived within minutes.
While officers searched the mansion, Elena sat beside Alejandro in the library.
She held a warm cup of tea with trembling hands.
"It started the night of the charity gala," she whispered.
"I wasn't kidnapped."
Alejandro frowned.
"What happened?"
"I was drugged."
She explained that Vivian had secretly switched her drink.
When Elena woke up, she was inside a hidden apartment beneath the mansion.
Vivian convinced every employee that Elena had suffered a mental breakdown and needed to be kept away from the public.
Servants who questioned the story were fired immediately.
Others were paid to stay silent.
Elena was forced to clean, cook, and work every day under constant surveillance.
Whenever she tried to escape...
Vivian threatened to destroy Alejandro's company and harm innocent employees who helped her.
"I thought I was protecting everyone," Elena said quietly.
