The convoy stopped in front of the towering headquarters of Carter Holdings.
Without looking back, Isabella walked through the revolving doors while cameras flashed from every direction. News had spread faster than anyone expected. Employees whispered as she passed, suddenly realizing the quiet woman they had ignored for years was actually the company's majority owner.
Inside the executive boardroom, twelve directors were already waiting.
Her assistant slid a folder onto the polished table.
"All voting rights have been transferred, ma'am. Every emergency resolution is ready."
Isabella nodded.
"Begin."
One by one, the board members raised their hands.
"The motion to remove Lucas Carter as CEO..."
"Twelve votes in favor."
"The motion to terminate Richard Carter as Chairman..."
"Passed unanimously."
"The motion to freeze all executive compensation pending forensic investigation..."
"Approved."
The room fell silent.
Only one signature remained.
Isabella uncapped her pen.
"This," she said softly, "is the only signature that matters tonight."
She signed the final document.
Meanwhile...
Across town...
Lucas stormed into his executive office with Sophie following close behind.
"What do you mean my key card doesn't work?"
Security blocked the entrance.
"I'm sorry, sir."
"I'm the CEO!"
"Not anymore."
The guard handed him a sealed envelope.
Lucas ripped it open.
Termination Notice.
Effective immediately.
His office.
His authority.
His company.
Gone.
Sophie's hands began to shake.
"This has to be some kind of mistake..."
Lucas looked at the building behind him as employees silently watched from the windows.
