CHAPTER 2 — THE TRUTH INSIDE THE COFFIN

The wood gave way with a violent crack, and a burst of stale air rushed out like a breath held for too long.

Someone screamed.

Someone else fell to their knees.

Inside the broken coffin, something shifted.

A pale hand.

Then a second.

The “dead” woman gasped violently, sucking in air like she had just been pulled from underwater. Her eyes shot open—wide, bloodshot, disoriented.

Chaos erupted instantly.

“She’s alive!”
“Call an ambulance!”
“How is this possible?!”

But the maid didn’t move. She just collapsed beside the coffin, shaking, as if her body had finally given permission to break.

The supposedly dead woman coughed, choking on air, her fingers clawing weakly at the edges of the wood.

Her lips trembled.

“I… I couldn’t breathe…”

The husband stood completely still, face drained of all color. His lips parted, but nothing came out.

The maid looked up at him slowly.

Her voice was quiet now. Deadly calm.

“You sealed her in too soon.”

That sentence hit harder than the axe ever did.

A silence fell—heavier than grief, heavier than shock.

Because in that moment, something far worse than death had been revealed.

Mistake… or intention?

May you like

No one knew yet.

But the truth had just begun to wake up.
