Chapter 2: The Monster Behind the Smile

Chapter 2: The Monster Behind the Smile

An hour later, police officers filled the mansion.

Vivian sat in the library, furious but pretending to remain calm.

“You have no proof.”

Alejandro sat across from her.

Then he smiled.

A dangerous smile.

“Actually…”

He placed a tablet on the table.

The screen displayed hidden security footage.

Vivian's expression changed immediately.

Three years ago.

The charity gala.

Vivian handing Elena a drink.

Minutes later, Elena collapsing.

Then Vivian speaking to several employees.

“Destroy every record connected to Elena Castillo.”

The blood drained from Vivian's face.

“How did you get that?”

Alejandro leaned back.

“I never stopped searching.”

She panicked.

“No jury will believe this.”

Alejandro said nothing.

Instead, another person walked into the room.

Miguel.

The former head butler.

The man Vivian had threatened for years.

He looked directly at her.

“I'll testify.”

Then another maid entered.

Then another.

Then another.

One after another.

Seven employees.

Seven witnesses.

Years of abuse.

Years of manipulation.

Years of fear.

Vivian finally snapped.

“You're all nothing without me!”

Elena slowly stood.

For years she had been silent.

Invisible.

Broken.

But not anymore.

She walked toward Vivian.

“You stole my name.”

Vivian remained silent.

“You stole my life.”

Still silence.

Then Elena spoke one final sentence.

“But you'll never steal my future.”

Police officers immediately handcuffed Vivian.

She screamed while being dragged away.

“This should've been mine!”

Alejandro answered her without emotion.

“No.”

“This was always hers.”

The front doors closed behind her.
