Months later, the courtroom was filled with many of the same guests who had attended the gala.
This time they watched Emily testify.
Victoria and her accomplices were found guilty of multiple crimes, including kidnapping, fraud, conspiracy, and evidence tampering.
The judge ordered that Daniel's estate be restored to its rightful heirs.
Emily never smiled until the verdict was read.
Then she looked at Lily.
The little girl squeezed her mother's hand.
