Chapter 3: Justice Arrives

Three weeks later.

Victor was finally located at a private airfield preparing to flee the country.

This time, he had nowhere left to run.

Federal agents surrounded the aircraft.

As officers escorted him away in handcuffs, he looked directly at Sophia.

"You owe everything you have to me."

Sophia simply shook her head.

"No."

She smiled sadly.

"I survived despite you."

Meanwhile, Ethan accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to prison for attempted murder, conspiracy, and financial fraud.

Emily testified against everyone involved.

Afterward, she stood before Sophia one final time.

Tears streamed down her face.

"I know I don't deserve forgiveness."

Sophia looked at her former best friend for a long moment.

Then she answered.

"You don't."

Emily quietly nodded.

And walked away forever.

Months later, Sophia stood on a beach at sunrise.

No cameras.

No luxury ballroom.

No lies.

Just peace.

Beside her stood Ava, the woman who had risked everything to save a stranger's life.

Sophia smiled.

"Why did you do all of this?"

Ava laughed softly.

"Because sometimes the people wearing masks are impossible to recognize."

She paused.

"Until someone is brave enough to remove them."

Sophia looked toward the horizon.

For the first time in a very long time...

She wasn't afraid anymore.

The wedding that was supposed to end her life had instead given her a new one.

And sometimes, the greatest love story isn't about finding the perfect partner.

It's about surviving the wrong ones.
